Rockie Mountain Adventure from Vancouver

What better way to experience the Christmas season than by train? Let Rocky Mountaineer take you on a winter trip of a lifetime. Once in Banff, enjoy true winter delights such as a horse-drawn sleigh ride and a mineral springs soak, surrounded by snow.

DAY 1 - Arriving in Vancouver

An overnight stay in Vancouver begins your tour. (Transfer to hotel not included.)

DAY 2 - Exploring Vancouver

Today is free to tour Vancouver all day by trolley where you can hop on and hop off at 23 different popular sightseeing areas (such as Stanley Park, English Bay, Chinatown and Gastown( and attractions. Admissions included to the Vancouver Aquarium and Vancouver Art Gallery. The day is yours to shop and explore.

DAY 3 and 4 - 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Banff

Your day begins with an early morning taxi transfer (included) to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station to board Rocky Mountaineer daylight train. Travel though the Pacific Coastal Mountains, Hell's Gate and onto Kamloops for the evening. (Breakfast and lunch onboard). Transfer (included) to your hotel in Kamloops for dinner (included) and an overnight stay. The next morning, transfer (included) back to the Kamloops train station where you will reboard Rocky Mountaineer and continue on your journey to the Canadian Rockies (breakfast and lunch onboard). Travel through the South Thompson River area, Kicking Horse Pass and Spiral Tunnels before arriving into Banff. Transfer (included) to your hotel upon arrival.

DAY 5 - Exploring Banff

Explore Banff on your own today, including admission to the Banff Gondola, that will bring you to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, and the Upper Hot Springs.

DAY 6 - Dining in Banff

Today, enjoy a winter sleigh ride. Let a team of horses be your guide as you take a traditional sleigh ride over the frozen Bow River and other areas of the Banff townsite. This evening, a "Dine Around" downtown Banff takes you to the Banff Wine Store for a sample and bottle to take with you, Tony Roma's for appetizer & entree and the Maple Leaf Grill for dessert

DAY 7 - Departing Calgary

Conclude your tour with a scheduled transfer service (included) from Banff to the Calgary International Airport or major hotels in downtown Calgary.


This vacation is available in reverse, starting from Calgary.

*When day tours or attractions are not operational in the off-season, the price will be adjusted or there will an alternative excursion/attraction made available.
