STONE MANSION
Saturday, December 8, 2001.
Today we stroll through Old Economy, the State of Pennsylvania's Historical Area, which consists of the remaining buildings of the Harmony Society's settlement of Economy. It is reminiscent of the Independence Mall area of Philadelphia.
This evening we have a family gathering at the Stone Mansion, an elegant restaurant in the northwestern suburbs of Pittsburgh. The mansion, was formerly the residence of a physician who built it the 1930s utilizing portions of older homes, including some elements of a mansion which once stood on the present site of the Cathedral of Learning.
